100+ ideas

Mix up a fruity drink made with Tito's vodka, homemade blackberry simple syrup, orange juice, and Fresca. This mixed drink is packed with lots of flavor and the perfect touch of sweetness.

Here's what you'll need...

You'll Need:

– 8 ounces blackberries – 1 cup granulated sugar – 12 fresh mint leaves – 6 ounces pulp free orange juice – 4 ½ ounces Tito's vodka – 8 ounces Fresca sparkling flavored soda – orange slices for garnish

Instructions:

Add blackberries, granulated sugar, and one cup of water to a medium-sized saucepan. Cook over medium-high until the mixture begins to boil.

Instructions:

Once boiling, cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring often, to ensure the mixture doesn’t boil over. The simple syrup will turn dark purple and thicken. Remove from the heat, and allow the mixture to cool for about 30 minutes until it has stopped steaming.

Instructions:

Place a fine mesh strainer over a bowl. Pour the mixture into the strainer to separate the simple syrup from the seeds. Push on the blackberries in the strainer with a silicone spatula to extract more juice. Add the simple syrup to a squeeze bottle, and discard the seeds.

Instructions:

Add mint leaves to the bottom of a cocktail shaker and muddle with a cocktail muddle or the back of a wooden spoon until you begin to smell the mint.

Instructions:

Add orange juice, vodka, blackberry simple syrup, and a handful of ice to the cocktail shaker. Since the cocktail shaker will be very full, mix and chill the cocktail by transferring from one cup of the cocktail shaker to the other.

Instructions:

Prepare 4 lowball glasses by placing 2-3 orange slices around the outside wall of the glass. Then fill partway with ice. Strain 4 ounces of the cocktail using a Hawthorne strainer into the prepared glasses.

Instructions:

Top each glass with 2 ounces of Fresca sparkling soda water.  Optionally, garnish with additional mint and orange slices.
