Watermelon Margarita On The Rocks

100+ ideas

Watermelon margarita on the rocks is the perfect refreshing drink for a hot summer day. Sweetened with just a hint of agave. This recipe makes two servings of margaritas, but can easily be scaled up for a full pitcher.

Here's what you'll need...

You'll Need:

– 4 cups ripe, seedless watermelon cubed  – 3 ounces silver tequila – 2 ounces lime juice – 2 teaspoons agave – granulated sugar

– Blender – Fine mesh strainer – Cocktail shaker – Low ball serving glass

Add cubed watermelon to a blender. Blend on high until watermelon juice has formed and no large pieces of watermelon remain.

Using a fine mesh strainer, strain the watermelon juice 1-2 times to remove the excess pulp.

To a cocktail shaker add 10 ounces of watermelon juice, tequila, lime, agave, and a few ice cubes. Shake for 30-45 seconds until chilled.

To serve, use a lime wedge to wet the rim of serving glass. Dip glass into granulated sugar. Add a few ice cubes to the glass, then strain margarita mix over ice. Serve immediately.
