Ingredients

  • tamales (whichever flavor you prefer)
  • Mexican rice
  • cucumber avocado salad
  • sour cream/Greek yogurt
  • cotija cheese
  • queso
  • limes sliced into wedges
  • jalapenos
  • marinated onions
  • guacamole
  • pico de gallo
  • salsa
  • cilantro for garnish
  • tortilla chips (white & blue corn)

Instructions

  • Make (or buy) a large batch of tamales.
  • Place all your sides and toppings into bowls.
  • Lay everything on your platter. Start placing all your bowls down (large bowls first, then small bowls). Next, place varying colors and texture next to each other. Add in the tamales (make sure they've been steamed). Finally, fill in any remaining spots with tortilla chips.
  • Serve immediately.
