Tropical Paradise Peanut Butter Whiskey Cocktail

If you're obsessed with drinking peanut butter whiskey (like Skrewball), then you have to try this tropical paradise cocktail. It's loaded with the flavors of summer including rum, coconut, and pineapple. There's a perfect marry of all the flavors that will make you rethink the possible cocktails you can mix up with peanut butter whiskey. At first sip, you'll experience a sweet, coconut flavor with a peanut butter note at the end. Don't forget to garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon and some pineapple fronds.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ ounces light rum
  • 1 ½ ounces peanut butter whiskey
  • 1 ounce cinnamon simple syrup
  • 1 ounce cream of coconut
  • ½ ounce pineapple juice
  • 2 dashes aromatic bitters
  • ground cinnamon for garnish
  • pineapple fronds for garnish

Instructions

  • Add peanut butter whiskey, rum, cinnamon simple syrup, cream of coconut, pineapple juice, and aromatic bitters to a shaker with ice. Shake vigorously for 20 to 30 seconds.
  • Strain into a chilled high ball glass over pebble ice.
  • Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon and pineapple fronds.

Notes

To make homemade cinnamon simple syrup add ½ cup granulated sugar and ½ cup water to a small saucepan. Place over medium heat and stir until sugar is fully dissolved. Remove from heat and add in 2 cinnamon sticks. Allow cinnamon sticks to steep for at least one hour, up to 24 hours. Pour into a glass jar and seal tightly. The simple syrup will keep for 1 month in the refrigerator.
