    Ingredients You Need

This recipe only requires a couple of ingredients, so you can spend less time cooking and more time eating.

Fig marmalade: The best part about this dip is that you can enjoy it year-round. Instead of having to wait for fresh figs to be in season, you can grab your favorite jar of fig marmalade and whip up this easy dip anytime you want. The fruit is sweet without being overpowering or sour in any way. Figs offer an amazing flavor and texture that pairs beautifully with cheese.

Goat cheese: For this recipe, use soft goat cheese. The creamy and tart flavor of goat cheese pairs perfectly with the rich and sweet fig marmalade to make for a well-balanced flavor combination.

Pecans: Pecans provide this dip with a nice added layer of texture. If you are allergic to, or don't like, pecans, feel free to substitute for walnuts, pistachios, or another nut of your choice.

Crackers: Every dip needs some crackers. Grab your favorite neutral-flavored crackers, so you can enjoy all the amazing flavors from this dip.

    How To Make This Recipe

numbered photo pulsing pecans in a food processor.

    1. To start, add the pecans to an electric food processor. Cover with the lid, and blend the nuts on high speed for about 20 seconds. You want the pecans to be finely chopped.

    2. Next, add the chopped pecans, goat cheese, and fig marmalade to a medium-sized mixing bowl. Using a silicone spatula, mix the ingredients until everything is fully combined.

You'll want to bring the goat cheese to room temperature before this step. The room-temperature cheese will be much easier to mix with the pecans and fig marmalade.

Finally, transfer your dip into a shallow bowl or a plate with raised edges. This will allow for easy dipping. If you want, you can sprinkle some more pecans on the top for a super simple garnish.

That’s it. Just three easy steps, and you’ll be enjoying the tastiest fig dip you’ve ever tried.

Serve this with a handful of your favorite crackers.

    Expert Tips

    • To store this dip, transfer it to an airtight container. This will stay good for up to a week in the refrigerator.
    • If you are planning to host a party and want to make as much ahead as possible, this recipe is perfect. You can make this dip up to 6 days in advance, storing it in the refrigerator until you’re ready to serve. Before serving, allow the dip to come back to room temperature.
    • If you want a fluffier and lighter dip, add all the ingredients to a mixer and beat on medium-high speed for 1 minute.

    Recipe FAQs

Besides crackers, what else can I serve alongside this dip?

This dip is great served with toasted baguettes, apple slices, or pear slices.

Can I use a different nut besides pecans?

Absolutely, I recommend using walnuts, pistachios, or macadamia nuts.

The dip is too thick for my liking. How can I change this?

If you want your dip to be fluffier, you can add the dip to a mixer, and beat it at a medium-high speed for one minute. This will whip the cheese for a lighter texture.
