    1. Screwdriver Shots

    One of the simplest orange drinks out there, the screwdriver is essentially just spiked orange juice. These screwdriver shots are the perfect simple shot to whip up in no time.

    Ingredients:

    • 3 ounces (90 ml) orange juice  
    • 3 ounces (90 ml) vodka

    Instructions:

    Add orange juice and vodka to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake for about 15 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.

    2. Tequila Sunrise Shooters

    Another classic cocktail, this is a simple and delicious mixture that makes for tasty shooters.

    Ingredients:

    • 3.75 ounces (110 ml) orange juice
    • 2 ounces (60 ml) tequila
    • 0.25 ounces (7 ml) grenadine

    Instructions:

    Add the orange juice and tequila to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake for about 15 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses. Top each shot with an equal amount of grenadine. 

    3. Vitamin-C

    Originally a bomb-style shot, these vitamin C shooters are a tasty orange colored flavor bomb.

    Ingredients:

    • 3 ounces (90 ml) mandarin vodka
    • 3 ounces (90 ml) orange juice
    • Red Bull (optional)

    Instructions:

    Add the mandarin vodka and orange juice to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake for about 15 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.

    Optionally, fill 3 highball glasses ¼ to ⅓ of the way with Red Bull, drop the shot into the highball glass, and enjoy these as bomb-style shooters.

    4. Garibaldi

    An Italian cocktail with a very low amount of alcohol, the shot version goes down incredibly smoothly. With just two ingredients, this is about as affordable and simple as an orange shot can get.

    Ingredients:

    • 4 ounces (120 ml) orange juice
    • 2 ounces (60 ml) Campari 

    Instructions:

    Add orange juice and Campari to a mixing glass. Use a hand frother or a whisk and froth the two ingredients until foamy. 

    Pour the mixture into three 2-ounce shot glasses and enjoy.

    5. Fuzzy Navel

    Rivaling the Garibaldi, the fuzzy navel is a combination of two simple and sweet ingredients that make for a smooth and fruity shooter.

    Ingredients:

    • 4 ounces (120 ml) orange juice
    • 2 ounces (60 ml) peach schnapps 

    Instructions:

    Add the orange juice and peach schnapps to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake for about 15 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.

    6. Hurricane Shots

    This tropical-style mix has a lot more ingredients than other shot recipes on this list, but the end result is a tasty shooter that’s worth the extra penny.

    Ingredients:

    • 1.5 ounces (45 ml) dark rum
    • 1.5 ounces (45 ml) light rum 
    • 1 ounce (30 ml) orange juice
    • 0.75 ounce (22 ml) lime juice
    • 0.75 ounce (22 ml) passion fruit syrup
    • 0.5 ounce (15 ml) grenadine

    Instructions:

    Add dark rum, light rum, orange juice, lime juice, passion fruit syrup, and grenadine to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake for about 15 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.

    7. Ward-8

    A cocktail originating in the late 1800s, the Ward-8 was made as a celebratory drink in regard to Martin M. Lomasney’s election into the state legislature. Over 120 years later, you can now enjoy this piece of history in a fun and tasty shot form.

    Ingredients:

    • 3 ounces (90 ml) rye whisky
    • 1.5 ounces (45 ml) orange juice
    • 1 ounce (30 ml) lemon juice
    • 0.5 ounce (15 ml) grenadine 

    Instructions:

    Add rye whisky, orange juice, lemon juice, and grenadine, into a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake for about 15 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.

    8. Amaretto Stone

    A simple, citrusy burst of flavor. Enjoy this refreshing cocktail in shot form.

    Ingredients:

    • 2 ounces (60 ml) amaretto
    • 2 ounces (60 ml) orange juice
    • 2 ounces (60 ml) sweet and sour mix

    Instructions:

    Add amaretto, orange juice, and sweet and sour mix to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake for about 15 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.

    9. Golden Dream

    Enjoy this alcoholic creamsicle of a shot. The Golden Dream is a dessert cocktail that makes for super smooth shots and a treat to enjoy.

    Ingredients:

    • 2 ounces (60 ml) Galliano liqueur
    • 1.5 ounces (45 ml) Cointreau or triple-sec
    • 1.5 ounces (45 ml) fresh orange juice
    • 1 ounce (30 ml) heavy cream 

    Instructions:

    Add the Galliano liqueur, Cointreau (or triple-sec), orange juice, and heavy cream to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake for about 15 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.

    10. Alabama Slammer

    Developed in the late 1960s to early ‘70s, at the University of Alabama, it remains the unofficial shot/drink of the school. These shots are originally crimson in color but this recipe offers a more orange end result.

    Ingredients:

    • 3 ounces (90 ml) orange juice
    • 1 ounce (30 ml) amaretto 
    • 1 ounce (30 ml) bourbon
    • 1 ounce (30 ml) gin

    Instructions:

    Add orange juice, amaretto, bourbon, and gin to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake for about 15 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.

    11. Sex on The Beach

    Take this famous cocktail, and enjoy it in shot form. A delicious combination of fruit flavors makes these shots go down super smoothly.

    Ingredients:

    • 3 ounces (90 ml) vodka
    • 1.5 ounces (45 ml) orange juice
    • 1 ounce (30 ml) peach schnapps
    • 0.5 ounce (15 ml) cranberry juice

    Instructions:

    Add the vodka, orange juice, peach schnapps, and cranberry juice to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake for about 15 seconds. Strain the mixture evenly into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.

    12. Orange Margarita

    Citrus and tequila go hand in hand, and this combo will have you making these margarita shots any chance you get.

    Ingredients:

    • 0.25 ounce (7 g) sea salt (optional)
    • 3 ounces (90 ml) tequila 
    • 2 ounces (60 ml) orange juice
    • 0.75 ounce (22 ml) agave or simple syrup
    • 0.25 ounce (7 ml) lime juice

    Instructions:

    For the salt rim:

    Distribute the sea salt onto a small plate. Using a lime that will be used for the fresh lime juice, rub the flesh against and all around the rim of the shot glasses. Gently, tap the sides of the shot glass in the salt, and rotate all around to rim the glasses with salt. 

    For the shots:

    Add tequila, orange juice, agave, and lime juice into a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake for about 15 seconds. Strain the mixture into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.

    13. Blended Orange Margaritas

    That same tasty combination from a traditional style of orange margarita, but in a tasty and refreshing slushy version.

    Ingredients:

    • 0.25 ounce (7 g) sea salt (optional)
    • 3 ounces (90 ml) tequila
    • 2 ounces (60 ml) orange juice
    • 0.75 ounce (22 ml) agave or simple syrup
    • 0.25 ounce (7 ml) lime juice

    Instructions:

    For the salt rim:

    Distribute the sea salt onto a small plate. Using a lime that is for the fresh lime juice, rub the flesh against and all around the rim of the shot glasses. Gently, tap the sides of the shot glass in the salt, and rotate all around to rim the glasses with salt. 

    For the shots:

    In a blender, add a handful of ice (3-6 large cubes), tequila, orange juice, agave, and lime juice. Blend on medium-high speed until a smooth consistency is achieved. Pour into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.

    14. Blood Orange Margaritas

    Switch things up by using the unique and tasty flavor of blood orange juice instead of your regular old orange juice. This will result in a more variable color, resulting in shots that look like a sunset.

    Ingredients:

    • 0.25 ounce (7 g) sea salt (optional)
    • 3 ounces (90 ml) tequila
    • 2 ounces (60 ml) blood orange juice
    • 0.75 ounce (22 ml) agave or simple syrup
    • 0.25 ounce (7 ml) lime juice

    Instructions:

    For the salt rim:

    Add tequila, blood orange juice, agave, and lime juice into a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake for about 15 seconds. Strain the mixture into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.

    15. Blended Blood Orange Margaritas

    Super refreshing, acidic, and smooth, these blended blood orange shots are one of my personal favorite ways to cool down on a hot day.

    Ingredients:

    • 0.25 ounce (7 g) sea salt (optional)
    • 3 ounces (90 ml) tequila
    • 2 ounces (60 ml) blood orange juice
    • 0.75 ounce (22 ml) agave or simple syrup
    • 0.25 ounce (7 ml) lime juice

    Instructions:

    For the salt rim:

    Distribute the sea salt onto a small plate. Using a lime that is for the fresh lime juice, rub the flesh against and all around the rim of the shot glasses. Gently, tap the sides of the shot glass in the salt, and rotate all around to rim the glasses with salt. 

    For the shots:

    16. Orange Damn Shots

    Inspired by Hot Damn shooters, this uses all the same ingredients but switches up the ratio to achieve a greater orange flavor and color.

    Ingredients:

    • 2.5 ounces (75 ml) orange juice
    • 1.5 ounces (45 ml) light rum
    • 1.5 ounces (45 ml) vodka
    • 0.5 ounces (15 ml) whiskey

    Instructions:

    Add orange juice, rum, vodka, and whiskey to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake the mix for about 15 seconds. Strain the mixture into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses. 

    17. Mango Sunrise

    Take the classic tequila sunrise but swap the orange juice for mango, and enjoy these fruity shooters.

    Ingredients:

    • 3.5 ounces (105 ml) mango juice
    • 2.5 ounces (75 ml) tequila 

    Instructions:

    Add the mango juice and tequila to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake for about 15 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.

    18. Mango Daiquiri

    Rum and mango make for a lovely tropical daiquiri that’s even better in shot form.

    Ingredients:

    • 1.5 ounces (45 ml) fresh mango or mango purée 
    • 3 ounces (90 ml) white rum
    • 1 ounce (30 ml) fresh lime juice
    • 0.5 ounce (15 ml) Cointreau or triple-sec

    Instructions:

    If using fresh mango… 

    In a cocktail shaker, muddle the fresh mango to release the juice. Add in a handful of ice, white rum, lime juice, and Cointreau (or triple-sec), and shake for about 15 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.

    **Note: Fresh fruit is unpredictable. If the mango is not sweet enough, add a bit of agave or simple syrup to achieve the desired sweetness.

    If using mango purée… 

    Add mango purée, rum, lime juice, and Cointreau (or triple-sec) to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake for about 15 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.

    19. Mango Margarita

    Enjoy sweet mango with a bite of tequila in this tasty margarita shooter.

    Ingredients:

    • 0.25 ounce (7.5 g) Tajín (optional)
    • 3 ounces (90 ml) tequila 
    • 2 ounces (60 ml) mango purée
    • 1 ounce (30 ml) fresh lime juice

    Instructions:

    For the Tajín rim:

    Distribute the Tajín onto a small plate. Using a lime that is for the fresh lime juice, rub the flesh against and all around the rim of the shot glasses. Gently, tap the sides of the shot glass in the Tajín, and rotate all around to rim the glasses with Tajín.  

    For the shots:

    Add the tequila, mango purée, and lime juice to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake the mix for about 15 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.

    20. Blended Mango Margarita

    Tropical and extra refreshing, blended mango margarita shots are going to have you booking flights to somewhere tropical in no time.

    Ingredients:

    • 0.25 ounce (7.5 g) Tajín (optional)
    • 3 ounces (90 ml) tequila 
    • 2 ounces (60 ml) fresh or frozen mango
    • 1 ounce (30 ml) lime juice 

    Instructions:

    For the Tajín rim:

    Distribute the Tajín onto a small plate. Using a lime that is for the fresh lime juice, rub the flesh against and all around the rim of the shot glasses. Gently, tap the sides of the shot glass in the Tajín, and rotate all around to rim the glasses with Tajín.  

    For the shots:

    In a blender, add a handful of ice (3-6 large cubes), tequila, mango, and lime juice. Blend on medium-high until the mixture is smooth. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.

    Note: Fresh fruit is unpredictable. If the mango is not sweet enough, add a bit of agave or simple syrup to achieve the desired sweetness.

    21. Peach Daiquiri

    Peach pairs perfectly with rum and the citrus aspects of a daiquiri. Enjoy this smooth and fruity blend in a fun and exciting shot form.

    Ingredients:

    • 1.5 ounces (45 ml) fresh peach or peach purée
    • 3 ounces (90 ml) white rum
    • 1 ounce (30 ml) lime juice 
    • 0.5 ounce (15 ml) Cointreau or triple-sec

    Instructions:

    If using fresh peach...

    In a cocktail shaker, muddle the fresh peach to release the juice. Add in a handful of ice, white rum, lime juice, and Cointreau (or triple-sec), and shake for about 15 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.

    Note: Fresh fruit is unpredictable. If the peach is not sweet enough, add a bit of agave or simple syrup to achieve the desired sweetness.

    If using peach purée...

    Add peach purée, rum, lime juice, and Cointreau (or triple-sec) to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake for about 15 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.

    22. Peach Margarita

    Another lovely fruit variant of a margarita, peach puree makes for a fun and smooth shot.

    Ingredients:

    • 0.25 ounce (7 g) sea salt (optional)
    • 3 ounces (90 ml) tequila 
    • 2 ounces (60 ml) peach purée
    • 1 ounce (30 ml) lime juice

    Instructions:

    For the salt rim:

    Add the tequila, peach purée, and lime juice to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake for about 15 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.

    23. Blended Peach Margarita

    A super refreshing blend that is perfect for staying cool at any of your summer parties.

    Ingredients:

    • 0.25 ounce (7 g) sea salt (optional)
    • 3 ounces (90 ml) tequila 
    • 2 ounces (60 ml) fresh or frozen peach
    • 1 ounce (30 ml) lime juice 

    Instructions:

    For the salt rim:

    Distribute the sea salt onto a small plate. Using a lime that is for the fresh lime juice, rub the flesh against and all around the rim of the shot glasses. Gently, tap the sides of the shot glass in the salt, and rotate all around to rim the glasses with salt. 

    For the shot:

    24. Orange Starburst

    This is a fun way to enjoy some candy in the most adult way possible.

    Ingredients:

    • 2.5 ounces (75 ml) vodka (or mandarin vodka)
    • 2-3 orange starbursts
    • 2 ounces (60 ml) sweet and sour mix 

    Instructions:

    Add the vodka, starbursts, and sweet and sour mix into a cocktail shaker. Optionally, let the mixture sit overnight in the fridge. Add a large handful of ice, and shake for at least 20 seconds. Strain the mixture into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses. 

    25. Deep Eddy Vodka Tonic (or Soda)

    Your classic vodka tonic or vodka soda, but make it orange. Whichever version of this simple cocktail you prefer, try an exciting and fun twist with this two-ingredient recipe.

    Ingredients: 

    • 3 ounces (90 ml) Deep Eddy Orange Vodka 
    • 3 ounces (90 ml) tonic water or soda water

    Instructions:

    Add the orange vodka to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake for about 15 seconds. Strain evenly into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses (1 oz or 30 ml per shot glass). Top each shot with tonic water or soda water.

    Helpful Tips

    • If the color of the shots is not as bright and orange as you had hoped, add 1-2 drops of orange liquid food coloring.
    • For any of these shots that call for vodka, consider buying Deep Eddy Orange Vodka and using it instead. This will both add an extra orange flavor and boost that orange color you’re searching for.
