One of the simplest orange drinks out there, the screwdriver is essentially just spiked orange juice. These screwdriver shots are the perfect simple shot to whip up in no time.
Ingredients:
- 3 ounces (90 ml) orange juice
- 3 ounces (90 ml) vodka
Instructions:
Add orange juice and vodka to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake for about 15 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.
2. Tequila Sunrise Shooters
Another classic cocktail, this is a simple and delicious mixture that makes for tasty shooters.
Ingredients:
- 3.75 ounces (110 ml) orange juice
- 2 ounces (60 ml) tequila
- 0.25 ounces (7 ml) grenadine

4. Garibaldi
An Italian cocktail with a very low amount of alcohol, the shot version goes down incredibly smoothly. With just two ingredients, this is about as affordable and simple as an orange shot can get.
Ingredients:
- 4 ounces (120 ml) orange juice
- 2 ounces (60 ml) Campari
Instructions:

7. Ward-8
A cocktail originating in the late 1800s, the Ward-8 was made as a celebratory drink in regard to Martin M. Lomasney’s election into the state legislature. Over 120 years later, you can now enjoy this piece of history in a fun and tasty shot form.

- 3 ounces (90 ml) rye whisky
- 1.5 ounces (45 ml) orange juice
- 1 ounce (30 ml) lemon juice
- 0.5 ounce (15 ml) grenadine

- 3 ounces (90 ml) tequila

- 0.75 ounce (22 ml) agave or simple syrup
- 0.25 ounce (7 ml) lime juice

- 0.25 ounce (7 g) sea salt (optional)
- 3 ounces (90 ml) tequila
- 2 ounces (60 ml) blood orange juice
- 0.75 ounce (22 ml) agave or simple syrup
- 0.25 ounce (7 ml) lime juice

For the salt rim:

Inspired by Hot Damn shooters, this uses all the same ingredients but switches up the ratio to achieve a greater orange flavor and color.

- 2.5 ounces (75 ml) orange juice
- 1.5 ounces (45 ml) light rum
- 1.5 ounces (45 ml) vodka
- 0.5 ounces (15 ml) whiskey
Instructions:
Add orange juice, rum, vodka, and whiskey to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake the mix for about 15 seconds. Strain the mixture into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.
17. Mango Sunrise
Take the classic tequila sunrise but swap the orange juice for mango, and enjoy these fruity shooters.

Ingredients:
- 1.5 ounces (45 ml) fresh mango or mango purée
- 3 ounces (90 ml) white rum
- 1 ounce (30 ml) fresh lime juice
- 0.5 ounce (15 ml) Cointreau or triple-sec
Instructions:
If using fresh mango…
In a cocktail shaker, muddle the fresh mango to release the juice. Add in a handful of ice, white rum, lime juice, and Cointreau (or triple-sec), and shake for about 15 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.
**Note: Fresh fruit is unpredictable. If the mango is not sweet enough, add a bit of agave or simple syrup to achieve the desired sweetness.
If using mango purée…
Add mango purée, rum, lime juice, and Cointreau (or triple-sec) to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake for about 15 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.
19. Mango Margarita
Enjoy sweet mango with a bite of tequila in this tasty margarita shooter.
Ingredients:
- 0.25 ounce (7.5 g) Tajín (optional)
- 3 ounces (90 ml) tequila
- 2 ounces (60 ml) mango purée
- 1 ounce (30 ml) fresh lime juice

For the Tajín rim:

20. Blended Mango Margarita
Tropical and extra refreshing, blended mango margarita shots are going to have you booking flights to somewhere tropical in no time.
Ingredients:
- 0.25 ounce (7.5 g) Tajín (optional)
- 3 ounces (90 ml) tequila
- 2 ounces (60 ml) fresh or frozen mango
- 1 ounce (30 ml) lime juice
Instructions:
For the Tajín rim:
Distribute the Tajín onto a small plate. Using a lime that is for the fresh lime juice, rub the flesh against and all around the rim of the shot glasses. Gently, tap the sides of the shot glass in the Tajín, and rotate all around to rim the glasses with Tajín.

Instructions:
Add the vodka, starbursts, and sweet and sour mix into a cocktail shaker. Optionally, let the mixture sit overnight in the fridge. Add a large handful of ice, and shake for at least 20 seconds. Strain the mixture into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.
25. Deep Eddy Vodka Tonic (or Soda)
Your classic vodka tonic or vodka soda, but make it orange. Whichever version of this simple cocktail you prefer, try an exciting and fun twist with this two-ingredient recipe.
Ingredients:
- 3 ounces (90 ml) Deep Eddy Orange Vodka
- 3 ounces (90 ml) tonic water or soda water
Instructions:
Add the orange vodka to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake for about 15 seconds. Strain evenly into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses (1 oz or 30 ml per shot glass). Top each shot with tonic water or soda water.
Helpful Tips
- If the color of the shots is not as bright and orange as you had hoped, add 1-2 drops of orange liquid food coloring.
- For any of these shots that call for vodka, consider buying Deep Eddy Orange Vodka and using it instead. This will both add an extra orange flavor and boost that orange color you’re searching for.
