1. Tequila Sunrise Shooters
A classic cocktail that is simple and delicious as a shooter.
Ingredients:
- 3.75 ounces (110 ml) orange juice
- 2 ounces (60 ml) tequila
- 0.25 ounces (7 ml) grenadine
Instructions:
Add the orange juice and tequila to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake for about 15 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses. Top each shot with an equal amount of grenadine.
2. Pomegranate Margarita Shots
Enjoy this tasty fruit incorporated into even tastier margarita shooters.
Ingredients:
- 0.25 ounce (7 g) sea salt (optional)
- 3 ounces (90 ml) tequila
- 1.5 ounces (45 ml) pomegranate juice
- 1 ounce (30 ml) freshly squeezed lime juice
- 0.5 ounce (15 ml) agave or simple syrup
Instructions:
For the salt rim: Distribute the sea salt onto a small plate. Using a lime that is for the fresh lime juice, rub the flesh against and all around the rim of the shot glasses. Gently, tap the sides of the shot glass in the salt, and rotate all around to rim the glasses with salt.
For the shots: Add tequila, pomegranate juice, lime juice, and agave to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake the mix for about 15 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.
3. Hpnotiq Margarita
The fruit flavors of Hpnotiq liqueur pair great in these margarita shots.
Ingredients:
- 2.5 ounces (75 ml) blanco tequila
- 1.5 ounces (45 ml) Hpnotiq liqueur
- 0.5 ounce (15 ml) lime juice
- 0.5 ounce (15 ml) triple sec or Cointreau
Instructions:
Add tequila, Hpnotiq, lime juice, and triple sec into a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake for about 15 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.
4. Mixed Berry Margaritas
Fresh berries can take a simple margarita recipe and turn it into one that wows.
Ingredients:
- 2 ounces (60 ml) fresh or frozen mixed berries
- 3 ounces (90 ml) tequila
- 1 ounce (30 ml) lime juice
- 1 ounce (30 ml) agave or simple syrup
Instructions:
Muddle the berries in a cocktail shaker to release the juices. Add tequila, lime juice, and agave to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake for about 15 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.
5. Flatliner
Here's a shot recipe using a type of alcohol and pantry staple you may not expect.
Ingredients:
- 0.75 ounce (22 ml) Sambuca
- 0.75 ounce (22 ml) chilled tequila blanco
- 6 dashes hot sauce
Instructions:
Pour Sambuca in the bottom of a 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glass. Using a bar spoon, layer tequila on top followed by hot sauce.
6. Orange Margarita
Citrus and tequila go hand in hand. This combo will have you making these margarita shots any chance you get.
Ingredients:
- 0.25 ounce (7 g) sea salt (optional)
- 3 ounces (90 ml) tequila
- 2 ounces (60 ml) orange juice
- 0.75 ounce (22 ml) agave or simple syrup
- 0.25 ounce (7 ml) lime juice
Instructions:
For the salt rim:
Distribute the sea salt onto a small plate. Using a lime that will be used for the fresh lime juice, rub the flesh against and all around the rim of the shot glasses. Gently, tap the sides of the shot glass in the salt, and rotate all around to rim the glasses with salt.
For the shots:
Add tequila, orange juice, agave, and lime juice into a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake for about 15 seconds. Strain the mixture into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.
7. Mango Sunrise
Take the classic tequila sunrise, but swap the orange juice for mango.
Ingredients:
- 3.5 ounces (105 ml) mango juice
- 2.5 ounces (75 ml) tequila
Instructions:
Add the mango juice and tequila to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake for about 15 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.
8. Blended Orange Margaritas
A tasty and refreshing slushy version of your favorite margarita.
Ingredients:
- 0.25 ounce (7 g) sea salt (optional)
- 3 ounces (90 ml) tequila
- 2 ounces (60 ml) orange juice
- 0.75 ounce (22 ml) agave or simple syrup
- 0.25 ounce (7 ml) lime juice
Instructions:
For the salt rim:
Distribute the sea salt onto a small plate. Using a lime that is for the fresh lime juice, rub the flesh against and all around the rim of the shot glasses. Gently, tap the sides of the shot glass in the salt, and rotate all around to rim the glasses with salt.
For the shots:
In a blender, add a handful of ice (3-6 large cubes), tequila, orange juice, agave, and lime juice. Blend on medium-high speed until a smooth consistency is achieved. Pour into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.
9. Blood Orange Margaritas
Switch things up by using the unique and tasty flavor of blood orange juice.
Ingredients:
- 0.25 ounce (7 g) sea salt (optional)
- 3 ounces (90 ml) tequila
- 2 ounces (60 ml) blood orange juice
- 0.75 ounce (22 ml) agave or simple syrup
- 0.25 ounce (7 ml) lime juice

Super refreshing, acidic, and smooth, these blended blood orange shots are one of my favorite ways to cool down on a hot day.
Ingredients:
- 0.25 ounce (7 g) sea salt (optional)
- 3 ounces (90 ml) tequila
- 2 ounces (60 ml) blood orange juice
- 0.75 ounce (22 ml) agave or simple syrup
- 0.25 ounce (7 ml) lime juice
Instructions:

11. Sangrita
This two-in-one shot is perfect for a night out when you’re craving something spicy.
Ingredients:
First Shot:
- 1.5 ounce (45 ml) chilled tequila
Second Shot:
- 0.5 ounce (15 ml) tomato juice
- 0.5 ounce (15 ml) freshly squeezed orange juice
- 0.5 ounce (15 ml) freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1 slice jalapeño pepper
- Dash hot sauce
- Dash of salt
Instructions:
For the first shot, fill one 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glass with tequila. Then, for the second shot, add tomato juice, orange juice, lime juice, jalapeño pepper, hot sauce, and salt in a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake until chilled, then strain into a second 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glass. Take the tequila shot followed by the mixed shot.
12. Tequila Slammer
Simple, but super refreshing! You’ll want to make this over and over again.
Ingredients:
- 1 ounce (30 ml) tequila
- 1 ounce (30 ml) ginger ale or ginger beer
Instructions:
Pour tequila into a 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glass. Then, layer ginger ale (or ginger beer) on top. To drink, pick up the glass and (gently) slam it on the counter. Take the shot while it's still fizzing.
13. Watermelon Pucker Margarita
Combine the sweet and sour flavors of watermelon pucker with the bite of your favorite tequila to make a smooth and refreshing margarita shot.
Ingredients:
- 3 ounces (90 ml) tequila
- 2 ounces (60 ml) Watermelon Pucker
- 1 ounce (30 ml) lime juice
Instructions:
Add tequila, Watermelon Pucker, and lime juice to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake for about 15 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.
14. Mexican Candy
The strong taste of watermelon paired with the bite of lime juice and a touch of hot sauce will remind anyone of their favorite Mexican candy.
Ingredients:
- 2.5 ounces (75 ml) blanco tequila
- 2.5 ounces (75 ml) Watermelon Pucker
- 1 ounce (30 ml) lime juice
- 3 dashes of red hot sauce
Instructions:
Add blanco tequila, Watermelon Pucker, and lime juice to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake for about 15 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses. Finish each shot with a dash of hot sauce.
15. Raspberry Margarita
Who doesn’t love a good fruity margarita? Enjoy this raspberry margarita in an exciting shot form.
Ingredients:
- 2 ounces (60 ml) fresh raspberries
- 2 ounces (60 ml) blanco tequila
- 1 ounce (30 ml) lime juice
- 1 ounce (30 ml) triple sec or Cointreau
Instructions:
Add raspberries to a cocktail shaker and muddle to release the juice. Add tequila, lime juice, triple sec, and ice to the cocktail shaker. Shake for about 15 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.
16. Blended Raspberry Margarita
Blend up this raspberry margarita mix so you can throw back some tasty shots during the hot summer months.
Ingredients:
- 2 ounces (60 ml) blanco tequila
- 2 ounces (60 ml) fresh or frozen raspberries
- 1 ounce (30 ml) lime juice
- 1 ounce (30 ml) triple sec or Cointreau
Instructions:
Add a handful of ice (3-6 large cubes), tequila, raspberries, lime juice, and triple sec to a blender. Blend on medium-high until smooth. Pour into three to four 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.
17. Pink Cadillac
A couple of simple twists to the classic Cadillac margarita, and you have a beautiful light pink shot.
Ingredients:
- 2.5 ounces (75 ml) blanco tequila
- 1 ounce (30 ml) Cointreau or triple sec
- 1 ounce (30 ml) lime juice
- 1 ounce (30 ml) Grand Mariner
- 0.5 ounce (15 ml) cranberry juice
Instructions:
Add tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, Grand Mariner, and cranberry juice to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake for about 15 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.
18. Blended Pink Cadillac
Try the Cadillac margarita in a wonderfully refreshing blended shot.
Ingredients:
- 2.5 ounces (75 ml) blanco tequila
- 1 ounce (30 ml) Cointreau or triple sec
- 1 ounce (30 ml) lime juice
- 1 ounce (30 ml) Grand Mariner
- 0.5 ounce (15 ml) cranberry juice
Instructions:
Add a handful of ice (3-6 large cubes), tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, Grand Mariner, and cranberry juice to a blender. Blend on medium-high speed until smooth. Pour into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.
19. Strawberry Margarita Shots
Another tasty, fruit-forward margarita inspired shot. Throw down these smooth strawberry shots with ease.
Ingredients:
- 2 ounces (60 ml) fresh strawberries
- 2 ounces (60 ml) blanco tequila
- 1 ounce (30 ml) lime juice
- 1 ounce (30 ml) triple sec or Cointreau
Instructions:

21. Mezcal Negroni
Prefer that spicy taste of agave liquor over the smooth taste of gin? Look no further than this mezcal Negroni shooter.
Ingredients:
- 2 ounces (60 ml) Campari
- 2 ounces (60 ml) mezcal tequila
- 2 ounces (60 ml) sweet (red) vermouth
Instructions:
Add Campari, mezcal tequila, and sweet vermouth to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Using a bar spoon, stir the mixture for at least 30 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.
22. Mango Margarita
Enjoy sweet mango with a bite of tequila in this tasty margarita shooter. Add a hint of spice with some Tajín. These are perfect for celebrating Cinco de Mayo!

- 0.25 ounce (7.5 g) Tajín (optional)
- 3 ounces (90 ml) tequila
- 2 ounces (60 ml) mango purée
- 1 ounce (30 ml) fresh lime juice

For the Tajín rim:

23. Blue Long Island Iced Tea
A slight alteration to your classic Long Island Iced Tea recipe and you have a beautiful blue mixture that’s just as good, if not better, than the original recipe.
Ingredients:
- 1 ounce (30 ml) blue curaçao
- 1 ounce (30 ml) lemon juice
- 1 ounce (30 ml) tequila
- 1 ounce (30 ml) white rum
- 0.5 ounces (15 ml) vodka
- Ginger Ale, to top
Instructions:
Add blue curaçao, lemon juice, tequila, white rum, and vodka to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake for about 15 seconds. Strain evenly into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses. Top each shot with ginger ale.
24. Blended Mixed Berry Margarita
These mixed berry blended margaritas are easy, tasty, and extremely refreshing.
Ingredients:
- 3 ounces (60 ml) tequila
- 1.5 ounces (45 ml) fresh or frozen mixed berries
- 1 ounce (30 ml) lime juice
- 1 ounce (30 ml) agave or simple syrup

- 0.25 ounce (7.5 g) Tajín (optional)
- 3 ounces (90 ml) tequila
- 2 ounces (60 ml) fresh or frozen mango
- 1 ounce (30 ml) lime juice
Instructions:
For the Tajín rim:
Distribute the Tajín onto a small plate. Using a lime that is for the fresh lime juice, rub the flesh against and all around the rim of the shot glasses. Gently, tap the sides of the shot glass in the Tajín, and rotate all around to rim the glasses with Tajín.
For the shots:
In a blender, add a handful of ice (3-6 large cubes), tequila, mango, and lime juice. Blend on medium-high until the mixture is smooth. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.
Note: Fresh fruit is unpredictable. If the mango is not sweet enough, add a bit of agave or simple syrup to achieve the desired sweetness.
26. Peach Margarita
Another lovely fruit variant of a margarita, this time with some peach puree.
Ingredients:
- 0.25 ounce (7 g) sea salt (optional)
- 3 ounces (90 ml) tequila
- 2 ounces (60 ml) peach purée
- 1 ounce (30 ml) lime juice
Instructions:
For the salt rim:

27. Green Margaritas
Use the fruity flavors of melon liqueur to make a fun green margarita, perfect for any tequila lover.
Ingredients:
- 3 ounces (90 ml) tequila
- 1.5 ounces (45 ml) Midori
- 1.5 ounces (45 ml) lime juice
Instructions:
Add tequila, Midori, and lime juice to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake for about 15 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.
28. Blue Margarita
Take your classic margarita recipe and swap out the triple sec for blue curaçao to enjoy a bright blue margarita.
