Mixing up alcoholic drinks at home doesn't have to be difficult. This list of mixed drinks will provide you with creative ways to make two-ingredient drinks.
Plus, in addition to the two main ingredients, I'll share some of my favorite optional ways to change up the mixed drink. You'll have endless ways to be creative with this list.

What To Mix With Tequila
Here are my favorite mixers to pair with both a blanco and reposado tequila.
1. Tequila Screwdriver
This cocktail is super versatile. By adding ¼ ounce (7 ml) of grenadine, you can easily transform this simple mixed drink into a Tequila Sunrise.
- 2 ounces (60 ml) blanco or reposado tequila
- 4 ounces (120 ml) chilled orange juice
Instructions: Fill a highball glass with ice. Pour in tequila and orange juice. Optionally, garnish with an orange wedge.
2. Tequila and Coke
If you're looking for an easy mixed drink to make at home, you likely already have both of these ingredients on hand.
- 2 ounces (60 ml) blanco tequila
- 4 ounces (120 ml) chilled cola
Instructions: Fill a highball glass with ice. Pour in tequila and cola. Optionally, finish with a squeeze of lime.
3. Tequila and Ginger Ale
For a drink that really allows the tequila to shine through, you have to try ginger ale as your mixer.

4. Mexican Mule
If you love the classic Moscow Mule cocktail, then you have to try this simple version with tequila.

What To Mix With Vodka
Both flavored and unflavored vodka provide a great base for mixed drinks. Here are some of my favorite vodka mixers.
9. Vodka Martini
It may come as a surprise that the beloved martini classifies as a mixed drink. With only two ingredients, it's easy to mix up at home.
- ½ ounce (15 ml) dry vermouth
- 2 ounces (60 ml) vodka
Instructions: Add dry vermouth, vodka, and optionally, one dash of orange or aromatic bitters to a mixing glass filled partway with ice. Stir until very cold, about 20 - 30 seconds. Strain into a chilled martini glass.
10. Vodka Cranberry
Vodka and cranberry are a great match, especially if you love a tart drink.
- 2 ounces (60 ml) vodka
- 4 ounces (120 ml) chilled cranberry juice
Instructions: Fill a highball glass with ice. Pour in vodka and cranberry juice. Optionally, finish with a squeeze of lime.
11. Vodka Soda
This drink is perfect for making with your favorite infused vodka brands, like Ketel One Botanicals, Smirnoff Zero Sugar Infusions, or Gallant.

12. Vodka and Red Bull

15. Sour Apple
Looking for a drink that everyone will love? Try this sour apple vodka concoction.

16. Cherry Limeade

17. Caramel Apple
The perfect fall-time drink for when the cooler weather comes around.

18. Blue Hawaiian
Adding flavored vodka to pineapple juice is the perfect mix for a fruity, summertime drink.

19. Peppermint Hot Chocolate

23. Gin and Lemonade
For a refreshing and light mixed drink, try a combination of London gin and lemonade.
- 2 ounces (60 ml) gin
- 5 ounces (150 ml) chilled lemonade
Instructions: Fill a highball glass with ice. Pour in gin and lemonade. Optionally, garnish with a lemon wheel.
24. Gin and Tonic
You've probably ordered this drink many times at the bar, and for a good reason. Not only is it delicious, but it's also an easy drink to end the night with.
- 2 ounces (60 ml) gin
- 4 ounces (120 ml) chilled tonic water
Instructions: Fill a highball glass with ice. Pour in gin and tonic water. Optionally, finish with a squeeze of lemon.
25. Salty Dog
You can think of the Salty Dog as the cousin of the vodka and grapefruit Greyhound drink. It's tangy and delicious.
- 2 ounces (60 ml) gin
- 4 ounces (120 ml) chilled grapefruit juice
Instructions: Fill a highball glass with ice. Pour in gin and grapefruit juice. Optionally, rim the glass with salt and top with soda water.
26. Gin Soda
If you need a mixed drink that goes down easy, you can always turn to the classic gin and soda combo.
- 2 ounces (60 ml) gin

27. French 75
Add a little fizz to your gin with this champagne-based drink.

28. Gin Martini

Instructions: Add gin, pomegranate juice, and optionally, one dash of orange bitters or simple syrup to a mixing glass filled partway with ice. Stir until very cold, about 20 - 30 seconds. Strain into a chilled martini glass.
30. Cucumber Martini
Once summer rolls around, it's time to switch your martini to something with a crisp and light twist.
- 2 ounces (60 ml) gin
- 3 ounces (90 ml) cucumber juice
Instructions: Add gin, cucumber juice, and optionally, a squeeze of lime or simple syrup to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake until very cold, about 20 - 30 seconds. Strain into a chilled martini glass.
What To Mix With Rum
Rum is the perfect base for two ingredient mixed drinks, especially if you love tropical, summer flavors.
31. Dark 'n' Stormy
This mixed drink is a classic for a good reason. The dark, rich rum perfectly balances the spiciness of the ginger beer.
- 2 ounces (60 ml) dark rum

Instructions: Lightly muddle 4 - 5 mint leaves and 2 sugar cubes in a lowball glass. Add bourbon. Fill the glass with crushed ice.
42. Manhattan
Any whiskey lover will enjoy this sweet and bitter drink. It's perfect for sipping on during a party or night out.
- 2 ounces (60 ml) bourbon or rye whiskey
- 1 ounce (30 ml) sweet vermouth
Instructions: Add bourbon or rye whiskey, sweet vermouth, and optionally, two dashes of Angostura bitters to a mixing glass filled partway with ice. Stir until very cold, about 20 - 30 seconds. Strain into a chilled coupe glass.
43. Whiskey Coke
This is an easy-to-make drink that combines the smokey flavor of whiskey with the sweet taste of Coca-Cola. Use Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey for a Jack and Coke.
