1. Lemon Drop Shots
Highlight that lemon flavor with these sweet and tart lemon drop shots.
Ingredients:
- 2.5 ounces (75 ml) vodka
- 2 ounces (60 ml) lemon juice
- 1.5 ounces (45 ml) simple syrup
Instructions:
Add vodka, lemon juice, and simple syrup to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake for about 15 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.
2. Limoncello Shooters
One of my favorite things to come out of Italy is limoncello liqueur. Make your life easy, and throw back some limoncello.
Ingredients:
- 6 ounces (180 ml) limoncello
Instructions:
Add limoncello to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake for about 15 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.
3. Limoncello Lemon Drops
Inspired by my limoncello lemon drop martini, these shots are a bit stronger but just as delicious. Combining the unique limoncello flavor and the classic lemon drop mix makes for a tasty and tart treat.
Ingredients:
- 2 ounces (60 ml) limoncello
- 1.5 ounces (45 ml) lemon juice
- 1.5 ounces (45 ml) simple syrup
- 1 ounce (30 ml) vodka
Instructions:
Add limoncello, lemon juice, simple syrup, and vodka to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake for about 15 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.
4. Bee's Knees
This simple gin cocktail-turned-shot is the best way to get your buzz on. The honey syrup takes this recipe to the next level.
Ingredients:
- 3.5 ounces (105 ml) gin
- 1.5 ounces (45 ml) lemon juice
- 1 ounce (30 ml) honey syrup
Instructions:
For honey syrup:
In a small saucepan or pot, combine 3 parts honey with 1 part water. Turn the stove on to medium heat, and stir constantly until a uniform liquid is made. Remove and cool to room temperature before storing in the refrigerator.
For the shots:
Add gin, lemon juice, and honey syrup to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake for about 15 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.
5. Penicillin
A similar taste to the bee’s knees but stronger and with more complex notes from two types of scotch.
Ingredients:
- 3 ounces (90 ml) blended scotch
- 1 ounce (30 ml) single malt scotch
- 1 ounce (30 ml) honey syrup
- 1 ounce (30 ml) lemon juice
Instructions:
For honey syrup:
In a small saucepan or pot, combine 3 parts honey with 1 part water. Turn the stove on to medium heat, and stir constantly until a uniform liquid is made. Remove and cool to room temperature before storing in the refrigerator.
For the shots:
Add blended scotch, single malt scotch, honey syrup, and lemon juice to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Stir for about 30 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.

Enjoy the spicy and herbal flavors of yellow chartreuse and ginger liqueur in this tasty shooter.
Ingredients:
- 2.5 ounces (75 ml) bourbon
- 1.5 ounces (45 ml) yellow chartreuse
- 1 ounce (30 ml) ginger liqueur

Very similar to the honey and hearth shots, these Yellowjacket shooters highlight the herbal notes of yellow chartreuse paired with the smooth taste of gin.

- 3 ounces (90 ml) beer (light or citrus beer)
- 3 ounces (90 ml) lemonade
Instructions:
Add beer and lemonade to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Stir for about 15 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.
9. Piña Colada Shooters
This list of shots and shooters would be incomplete without these piña colada shooters. Transport to a tropical paradise with this infamous drink, now in the form of fun and delicious shots.
Ingredients:
- 2.5 ounces (75 ml) fresh or frozen pineapple
- 1.5 ounces (45 ml) white rum
- 1 ounce (30 ml) cream of coconut
- 1 ounce (30 ml) pineapple juice
Instructions:
Add pineapple, rum, cream of coconut, and pineapple juice to a blender. Blend on medium-high speed until smooth and creamy. Pour into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.
Optionally, after blending, put the piña colada mixture in the refrigerator or freezer to let it chill. Then, blend it for a few seconds (again) before serving.
10. Pineapple Daiquiris
A tropical mix of rum and pineapple, you can enjoy these shooters blended or shaken.
Ingredients:
- 3 ounces (90 ml) frozen pineapple chunks or pineapple juice
- 2 ounces (60 ml) light rum
- 0.5 ounce (15 ml) lime juice
- 0.5 ounce (15 ml) simple syrup

11. Pineapple Mojitos
Super light and refreshing, these pineapple mojito shots are the best way to cool off on a hot day.
Ingredients:
- 5-10 fresh mint leaves
- 2 ounces (60 ml) white rum
- 1 ounce (30 ml) lime juice
- 1 ounce (30 ml) pineapple juice
- Soda water, to top
Instructions:
Gently clap the mint leaves, and then add them into a cocktail shaker. Add ice, rum, lime juice, and pineapple juice to the cocktail shaker. Stir for about 30 seconds. Strain evenly into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses. Top each shot with soda water.
12. Yellowhammer Slammer
The Yellowhammer Slammer is a complex, strong, and delicious cocktail-turned-shot. Using four types of liquor/ liqueur, this is surprisingly smooth.
Ingredients:
- 2 ounces (60 ml) pineapple juice
- 1 ounce (30 ml) amaretto liqueur
- 1 ounce (30 ml) orange juice
- 1 ounce (30 ml) pineapple rum or Malibu rum
- 1 ounce (30 ml) vodka
Instructions:
Add pineapple juice, amaretto, orange juice, pineapple rum, and vodka to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake for about 15 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.
13. Rum Cruiser
Coconut, pineapple, and rum are a trio from heaven. All three ingredients complement one another perfectly to make for a tasty and creamy shot.
Ingredients:
- 2 ounces (60 ml) cream of coconut
- 2 ounces (60 ml) pineapple juice
- 1 ounce (30 ml) amber rum
- 1 ounce (30 ml) banana liqueur
Instructions:
Add cream of coconut, pineapple juice, amber rum, and banana liqueur to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake for about 15 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.
14. Pineapple Margarita
Pineapple margarita shots are the perfect yellow shooter for tequila lovers.
Ingredients:
- 0.25 ounce (7 g) sea salt (optional)
- 2.5 ounces (75 ml) tequila
- 1.5 ounces (45 ml) pineapple juice
- 1 ounce (30 ml) lime juice
- 1 ounce (30 ml) triple-sec or Cointreau
Instructions:
For the salt rim:
Distribute the sea salt onto a small plate. Using a lime that is for the fresh lime juice, rub the flesh against and all around the rim of the shot glasses. Gently, tap the sides of the shot glass in the salt, and rotate all around to rim the glasses with salt.
For the shots:
Add tequila, pineapple juice, lime juice, and triple-sec to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake for about 15 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.
15. Blended Pineapple Margarita
The cold and thick consistency of this mix will remind you of a pina colada, but the lack of coconut and the bite of tequila will remind you of a tasty margarita.

- 0.25 ounce (7 g) sea salt (optional)
- 2.5 ounces (75 ml) tequila
- 1.5 ounces (45 ml) frozen or fresh pineapple
- 1 ounce (30 ml) lime juice
- 1 ounce (30 ml) triple-sec or Cointreau

For the salt rim:

- 2 ounces (60 ml) white rum
- 1.5 ounces (45 ml) passion fruit (scoop out the insides) or passion fruit puree
- 0.5 ounce (15 ml) lime juice
- 1 tablespoon (12 grams) granulated sugar
- Soda water, to top

One of my favorite fruits, paired with the spicy bite of tequila, makes for an absolute treat.
Ingredients:
- 0.25 ounce (7.5 g) Tajín (optional)
- 2.5 ounces (75 ml) tequila
- 2 ounces (60 ml) mango purée (or juice)
- 1 ounce (30 ml) lime juice
- 0.5 ounce (15 ml) triple-sec or Cointreau
Instructions:
For the Tajín rim:
Distribute the Tajín onto a small plate. Using a lime that is for the fresh lime juice, rub the flesh against and all around the rim of the shot glasses. Gently, tap the sides of the shot glass in the Tajín, and rotate all around to rim the glasses with Tajín.

22. Blended Mango Margarita
Enjoy the refreshing flavors of a cool, sweet, and tasty blended mango margarita in fun shot form. These are great with a Tajin rim to highlight the Mexican flavors/ ingredients.

- 0.25 ounce (7.5 g) Tajín (optional)
- 2.5 ounces (75 ml) tequila
- 2 ounces (60 ml) fresh or frozen mango
- 1 ounce (30 ml) lime juice
- 0.5 ounce (15 ml) triple-sec or Cointreau

23. Vegas Bomb
Vegas bomb shots are a classic bomb-style shot that gives you the pick-me-up needed to start a night or keep one going.
Ingredients:
- 2 ounces (60 ml) Crown Royal Canadian whisky
- 2 ounces (60 ml) peach schnapps
- 2 ounces (60 ml) Malibu rum
- 2 ounces (60 ml) Red Bull energy drink
Instructions:
Add whisky, peach schnapps, and malibu to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake for about 15 seconds.
To serve bomb-style:
Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses. Fill three highball glasses about ¼ of the way with Red Bull. To drink, drop the shot into the highball glass.
To serve regularly:
Strain evenly into four 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses. Top each shot with Red Bull.
24. Yellow Bird
Enjoy bright and tasty sweet and sour shots. The complex flavors of Galliano liqueur make this recipe unique.
Ingredients:
- 2.5 ounces (75 ml) white rum
- 1.5 ounces (45 ml) Galliano liqueur
- 1 ounce (30 ml) lime juice
- 1 ounce (30 ml) triple-sec or Cointreau
Instructions:
Add rum, Galliano liqueur, lime juice, and triple-sec to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Shake for about 15 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.
25. Butterball
Enjoy a super sweet and creamy shot that is great around the holiday season.
Ingredients:
- 4 ounces (120 ml) butterscotch schnapps
- 2 ounces (60 ml) Irish cream liqueur
Instructions:
Pour ⅓ of butterscotch schnapps in the bottom of three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses. Using a bar spoon, layer ⅓ of the Irish cream on top of each shot.
26. Snake Bites
Besides limoncello, this is one of the most simple yellow shots on this list. If you’re a fan of Yukon Jack, you are guaranteed to love these shooters.
Ingredients:
- 5 ounces (150 ml) Yukon Jack
- 1 ounce (30 ml) lime cordial
Instructions:
Add Yukon Jack and lime cordial to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Stir for about 30 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.
27. Harvey Wallbanger
A simple, 3-ingredient mix that highlights the golden color and herbal flavors of Galliano liqueur.
Ingredients:
- 3 ounces (90 ml) orange juice
- 2.5 ounces (75 ml) vodka
- 0.5 ounce (15 ml) Galliano liqueur
Instructions:
Add orange juice, vodka, and Galliano liqueur to a cocktail shaker filled partway with ice. Stir for about 30 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce (60 ml) shot glasses.
28. Yellow Starburst
This is a fun way to enjoy classic childhood candy in the most adult way possible.
Ingredients:
- 2.5 ounces (75 ml) vodka
- 2-3 yellow starbursts
- 2 ounces (60 ml) sweet and sour mix
Instructions:
Add the vodka, yellow starbursts, and sweet and sour mix into a cocktail shaker. Optionally, let the mixture sit overnight in the fridge. Add a large handful of ice, and shake for at least 20 seconds. Strain into three 2-ounce shot glasses.
